Estimates & scheduling
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Estimates are always free. We'll visit your property, look at the space, talk through what you want, and follow up with a clear written estimate. There's no pressure and no obligation.
How soon can you start my project?
It depends on the season and our current schedule. We'll give you an honest start date when we send your estimate, and we'll keep you updated if anything changes.
How long will my project take?
Smaller jobs like a walkway or repair may take a day or two. Larger projects like patios, retaining walls, or full patio builds can take a week or more. Your estimate will include an expected timeline, and weather can occasionally shift things. We'll always let you know.
Materials & the work
What materials do you work with?
We work with natural stone (like flagstone, fieldstone, and cut stone), manufactured stone veneer, brick, and pavers. We'll help you choose what fits your home, budget, and how you'll use the space.
Can you match my existing stone or brick?
Often, yes. We'll look at what you have and do our best to source a close match. If an exact match isn't possible, we'll show you the closest options before any work begins.
Do you do repairs, or only new projects?
Both. We repair loose steps, cracked or sunken walkways, damaged walls, and worn mortar joints, as well as building new projects from scratch.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
Some stone and mortar work can't be done in heavy rain or freezing temperatures. If weather affects your schedule, we'll reach out right away and set a new date.
Job site & cleanup
Do you clean up when the job is done?
Absolutely. We keep the work area as tidy as we can during the job and do a full cleanup at the end. We'll haul away our debris and leftover materials unless you'd like to keep extras for future repairs.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. We just need access to the work area and, for some jobs, water and power. We'll check in with you at the start and finish of each day or whenever you'd like an update.
Payment & service area
How does payment work?
Payment terms are written into your estimate, so you'll know exactly what to expect before we begin. For jobs under $3,000, we collect 50% at signing and the balance on completion. For larger projects, we ask for 30% to schedule the work, progress payments as each stage is finished, and the final balance when the job is complete. We accept cash, checks, ACH transfer, Zelle, and all major cards.
